In the Megami Tensei franchise, "demon" refers to any supernatural entity that can bring harm to human beings or interfere with their lives in one way or another. This includes more conventional malevolent demons, folktale creatures, deities, and Judeo-Christian angels.

Although classified as demons, angels tend to differentiate themselves from demons, and likewise the demons view them as separate. Angels also includes demons that have submitted to God and have become His servants.

A staple gameplay feature of the series is the ability to negotiate with and/or recruit demons as allies and party members, usually through the use of some type of Demon Summoning Program; many demons will request Items or Macca in exchange for their services. In some games, summoned most demons require Magnetite in order to maintain their corporeal forms; without a constant supply they will lose HP with each step.

Nike is one such demon who has made a soul contract with the Exo Blaze-37 rekindledtitan of the Destiny universe and an undead by the name of Jesse notalldead. The two of them unbound this low level avatar of justice and give her an incongruous order between them: for her to become her own person. This is difficult when they own her soul, but details, right?

She currently spends much of her time in Blaze's universe as a part of her Fire Team acting in the capacity of a Destiny Warlock though her abilities are sometimes a bit hard to explain.
